My paragraph:
George Dodge is just an average joe. He really isn't affected much by the Great Depression. He was still a child living with his mother during the hard times. He describes how his mother made all thier clothes. They couldn't make ends meet and times were really hard. He is now seventy enjoying smoking cigars and stroking his bull dog. His wife died earily but he is not depressed down at all.

This picture is a good representation of the era of the Great Deppresion. I can imagine a lot of previously thriving buisnesses looking like this becuase no one would be going to the store to buy anything becuase they didn't have the money. This is a common site in areas such as Detroit where they were hit hard when the car industry came down. People just can't bear the cost of living or owning a business so they just cut their losses and close their stores and or move away to somewhere they can sustain themselves better. You can also see how the roof looks like it is collapsing on in which happens if a store or business is not taken care of for a while which you can infer this one wasn't.
